Course content
Part-time: Sentence and discourse. Basic syntactic relations. Valency; valency relation; potential; basic sentence structure. Independent study (c. 100 hours): Sentence members. Subject. Predicate. attribute. Adverbial. Predicative complement. Special features and irregularities in sentence units. Complex sentences. Parataxis. Hypotaxis. Compound sentences.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subjekt is to give a theoretical knowledge of the syntactical systém of Czech and making of skills needed to a syntactical analysis of a text with regard to the work of an elementary school teacher.
Practising the ability to approach creatively syntactic tasks relevant to primary school teaching.
Prerequisites
The ability tackle to syntactic tasks.

E-learning materials are available on the faculty website. Completion requirements: A written test. Individual consultations are provided in person or by e-mail.
