Course content
The basic terminology; modern world concepts of comparatives studies; comparative method; world literature as theoretical categories; the contribution of the Czech and Slovak thinking to literary comparative studies.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
This course covers the basic terminology; modern world concepts of comparatives studies; the development of comparative method; particular components and forms of world literature as theoretical categories; and the contribution of the Czech and Slovak thinking to literary comparative studies.
A sound grasp of processes and movements with respect to the professional needs of a futute teacher of Czech studies.
