Course content
1. Introduction. The Musculoskeletal System. 2. The Cardiovascular System. 3. The Digestive System. 4. The Respiratory System. The Urinary System. 5. The First Aid. 6.-7. The Nervous System. 8. The Sensory System. 9. The Endocrine System. 10. The Reproductive System. 11.-12. The Human Ontogeny. 13.-14. The Occupational and School Hygiene. The Lifestyle Diseases. The Prevention. First aid 1-day course: Introduction to the problems, basic terms and definitions. First aid guidelines for the layperson. Injuries and illnesses required immediate care. Activation of rescue service. Self-protection by citizens in daily emergencies and disasters. Call for help. Projects of Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic and their use in school education. Examples of daily emergencies - especially fire at buildings, traffic accident, floods, natural disasters and industrial accidents.

Learning outcomes
The course introduces the fundamental theoretical background to the human biology. The human functional anatomy and physiology, the health prevention and theoretical training of the first aid, the ontogeny with emphasis on school aged children, the frequent pathologies, the lifestyle diseases, the drug prevention and the occupational and school hygiene form the scope of the course. Theoretical and practical training of the first aid with medics in 1-day course is also a part of the course.
Knowledge of the human biology, the health prevention and the first aid is a prerequisite for the subsequent school practice in general.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Knowledge of the human functional anatomy and physiology, the ontogeny (school age particularly), the hygiene. Theoretical knowledge of the health prevention and the first aid.
