Course content
Molecular genetics. Genetic polymorphism. Gene maping. Gene bank, screening, transgene organisms, cloning. Stem cells. Cytogenetics, karyology. Mendelian genetics. Coupling, interactions, genes and sex. Immungenetics. Mutations, classification, suppression and reparation. Populations genetics. Human genetics. Genetic diseases. Eugenics.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration, Laboratory
Learning outcomes
The aim is to learn the principles of the genetics - mendelism, coupling, cytogenetics, molecular genetics, polymorphism, mutations, population genetics. Genetic diversity. Recombinant DNA, transgene organisms.
Competence in analyse of principle genetic problems. The ability to use the methods of molecular genetics, cytogenetics, mendelian genetics, population genetics.
Prerequisites
Knowledge in biology, biochemistry and biometrics.

Oral examination, Written examination, Systematic student observation
