Learning outcomes
This course is thematically connected with the course of Botany III. and is focused on the properties and taxonomic characteristics of the major systematic groups of flowering plants and their evolutionary relationships. Emphasis is placed on the characteristics of didactic, economically and ecologically important taxa and botanical species. The course includes basic information about the role of individual taxa in ecological communities . Students acquire skills in the determination of plant species and taxonomic groups of flowering plants .
Theoretical knowledge of the main systematic groups of flowering plants and their evolution. Characteristics of didactic, economically and ecologically important taxa in more detail. It also includes a basic understanding of a role of nature communities and individual taxa in them.

Oral examination, Didactic test, Interview

Student will gain knowledge of the phylogenetic evolution of flowering plants and will know the characteristics of their main groups. The graduate acquires skills in the determination of common plant species and will provide an overview of the important economic taxa. 80 % participation , 60 % of the points in tests Work with determinative literature (botanical keys), collection and preparation plants. Knowledge of important taxa of our flora and their importance in nature and for people.
