Course content
Instruction will be realised in below thematic units: 1. Conception and misconception of inqury-based science education 2. Possibilities and limits of inquiry on primary level 3. School experiments 4. Units aimed on selected biological topics 5. Work with living and nonliving things 6. Determination of chosen taxa of plants, animals and fungi 7. Technical aids used in inquiry Excursions foccused on the gathering of natural material are organised. Additional aims of this course are a support of environmental education and a support of a natural interest in living nature.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Monitoring, Demonstration, Laboratory
Learning outcomes
This course is aimed to develop of competencies which are important for specific activities in science education: observation, work with noliving and living things, designing and assessment of school experiments, lead of inqury activities in education.
Students obtain competencies relevant to inquiry science education on the primary level.
