Course content
1. Life and natural environment 2. Components of an environment - atmosphere, hydrosphere, pedosphere, biosphere, geosphere Renewable and nonrenewable resources Waste products 3. Human population 4. Environment protection: History of nature protection in the World and in the Czech Republic. Global problems of environment protection. Precept of law in protection of particular components of environment. Conservation and landscaping. Organizational structure of nature conservation. 5. Methodology of nature and environment conservation education in schools.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Projection, Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
Goals: To understand present problems in environment protection - an environment condition, a proposal of solution, a reality, a future. To figure out necessary complexity of accesses, interrelationships, their complication and difficult possibility of prediction in future. Accented to active access of students during searching a concrete examples and onto discussion about problems of present. Contents: Components of environment and their present condition - climate, water, soil, biodiversity, resources. Global problems of environment and their solution. Conception of sustainable life. Nature conservation. Environment condition in the CR and solution of problems. Environment legislature. Environmental training in the CR. Principal institutions in scope of environment and their contents of activity. International convections.
Knowledge of recent problems in environment conservation - a condition of the environment, propositions of solutions, a future. Notify complexity, mutual ties among environment components, difficulty of predicting the future. Ability of active searching particular examples and discussion on present problems.

Oral examination, Interview, Colloquium, Seminar work

Individual processing of particular topic as essay - this will be part of exam.
