Course content
A four-day course is split into eight half-day parts: 1) Exploration of the vicinity terrestrial and aquatic biotopes and their basal analysis and dynamics 2) Principles of hydrobiology including measurement of the production of aquatic ecosystem 3) Population ecology - spatial structure and abundance of the selected populations (plants, invertebrates, vertebrates) 4) Community ecology - species diversity of selected communities 5) Vegetation structure (vertical and horizontal structure, Raunkier plant life-form) 6) Interspecific interactions (analysis of competition, predation and mutualism in the field; mycorrhiza) 7) Ecological factors (thermal analysis of microhabitats, effect of solar radiation on tree leaves) 8) Principles of dendrochronology Note. A particular ordering of these parts will be set up according to the actual weather and other circumstances.

Learning outcomes
Field ecology course is focused on selected terrestrial and aquatic biotopes (methodology of ecological research; bioindication; phenology aspects of ecosystems; principles of hydrobiology; interspecific interactions).
The students will get the necessary practical skills usable in the didactical system of education in science and in environmental education.
