Course content
Topics of lessons: 1. Ecology - terms. 2. Global problems (connection and relativity) 3.- 4. Energy, renewable resources of energy. 5.-6. Air pollutions, ozon hole, climate change - global warming. 7. Forests and wildwoods. 8. - 9. Third World - country and issues; two views on development and poverty, technology and environment, power (question of politics, transnational company) 10.-11. Colonialism and aborigines, Christian and scientific roots of the current ecological crisis, local heredity, local economists and LETs systems. 13.-14. Environmental education, green schools /"envi-school"/, Environmental projects, environmental streams, permacultura Workshops: 1. Learning outcomes
The course is intended to help students of all subjects to incorporate environmental issues into their future teaching. It covers basic ecological concepts, global issues, historical roots of the current crisis, third world and population issues, the role of technology and economics. Solutions at various organizational levels are discussed, as well as issues of individual lifestyle and their relatedness to current environmental decline. The course is based on structured discussions, simulation games, ode-day field trips, and discussions with visiting lecturers on themes such as renewable energy and waste. Both the teaching and the evaluation methods in this course are non-traditional.
On a theoretical level, the student will gain a deeper understanding of the causes and possible solutions of the current environmental crisis. He or she will also gain first-hand experience with interactive teaching techniques, which he or she will then hopefully use in their own teaching.

Active attendance in the workshops, present in excursions, self-dependent work (a book review, a background research and a poster), EVVO action presentation, test.
