Course content
Topics of lessons: 1. Terms of Ecology. 2. Global problems. 3.- 4. Energy, renewable resources of energy. 5.-6. Air pollutions, ozon hole, climate change - global warming. 7. Forests and wildwoods. 8. - 9. Third World - country and issues; two views on development and poverty, technology and environment, power (question of politics, transnational company) 10.-11. Colonialism and aborigines, Christian and scientific roots of the current ecological crisis, local heredity, local economists and LETs systems. 13.-14. Environmental education in the school´s system, green schools /"evni-school"/, Environmental projects, environmental streams, permacultura Workshops: 1. To getting acquainted with the course, the parting of the topics the self-dependent works (a book review, a background research and a poster), info origins to environment and environmental education 2. Bingo - a game to involve the topics EE to the lessons all subjects /ls.13, 14 3. Activity: media, adverts and me /ls.2, 8, 9, 10, 11 4. Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Written action (comprehensive tests, clauses), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
Basic information and orientation in the environmental terms with focus on connections of the environment and human health. The theoretical part: air- and water pollution, energy, traffic, waste, farming (agriculture), food, and global and environmental economy. The practical part: looking for connections and minimizing the negative influences of pollution on the environmental to health. Experience, life style, knowledge. Critical thinking, cooperative education, discussion, model games.
On a theoretical level, the student will gain a deeper understanding of the causes and possible solutions of the current environmental crisis. He or she will also gain first-hand experience with interactive teaching techniques, which he or she will then hopefully use in their own teaching.
