Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration
Learning outcomes
Advancement of knowledge of diversity, biology including reproduction and development, ecology, classification and differentiation of selected reared and negotiable invertebrates of following groups: Porrifera; Cnidaria - Anthozoa; Arthropoda: Chelicerata - Xiphosura, Scorpionida, Araneida; Crustacea - Malacostraca; Insecta - Coleoptare, Lepidoptera (Odonata, Phasmida, Mantodea, Hemiptera, Neuroptera, Hymenoptera); Mollusca: Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Cephalopoda; Annelida: Polychaeta, Oligochaeta; Echinodermata: espec. Echinoidea, Asteroidea, Holothuroidea (Ophiuroidea, Crinoidea).
Student acquires: (i) knowledge on the biology and diversity of reared and negotiable invertebrate animals; (ii) ability to estimate if accidentally showed invertebrates have potential commercial value or not.
Prerequisites
none

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Combined exam

An overview about diversity and classification of reared and negotiable invertebrates as well as more detailed knowledge on their biology. To be able estimate, if presented group of invertebrates is interesting from the commercial point of view. To submitt powerpoint presentation demonstrating selected group.
