Course content

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Projection, Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
-Development of language vocabulary related to earth science topics (living fauna and flora, inanimate physical world and environment) by having discussions, listening to radio programs, watching documentary shows and reading articles. -Repetition of the most important and at the same time most problematic grammar phenomena: word order, punctuation, the use of definite and indefinite articles, numerals, plurals). -Acquirement of scientific, field-specific terminology, phrases, pronunciation, diction and enunciation. -Development of basic skills regarding written compositions and oral presentations in English language on Earth Science topics. -Deepening the ability of scientific article translation and analysis.
The graduate will be able to clearly and briefly express himself / herself, conduct a dialogue, compose a written text, and carry out a presentation in English language on topics of Earth Science.

Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills

Ability to understand elementary texts and to conduct a simple dialogue in English language regarding Earth Science topics.
