Course content
1. The Nervous System - anatomy, development and functional characteristics. 2. Central Nervous System (CNS) - brain, spinal cord. Peripheral Nervous System. 3. The Endocrine System - anatomy and function of glands. 4. The Human Sensory System and its Sub-systems. 5. The Integumentary System - layers of the skin, function, diseases and injuries. 6. Introduction to Human Genetics. 7. Adaptations to different living environments. 8. Pathology. Human Diseases - viral, bacterial a parasitic.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
The subject will be focused on getting basic knowledge about physique and function of human body, which is needed for understanding civilian and mental influences of external environment on human organism. Hearers should apply the gained knowledge in understanding and then prevention of influences of working, sporting and a also psychical load on human organism.
The knowledge of anatomy and physiology of a human body. The understanding of principles of falling ill and the knowledge of prevention of disease pathogenesis.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of anatomy and physiology and systems of a human body. To know topographic anatomy of a man. The knowledge of basic illnesses and disaeses and basic additional cure.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination

80% attendance in lectures and seminars.
