Course content
1. Introduction. Tissues. 2. Musculoskeletal system. 3. Cardiovascular system. 4. Digestive system. 5. Respiratory and Urinary system. 6. Endocrine system. 7.-9. Nervous system. 10. Sensory systems. 11.-12. Human Ontogeny. 13.-14. Occupational and school hygiene. Civilizing diseases (prevention).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
Students will learn basics of human anatomy and physiology - the skeletal and muscular system, the blood and cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, the excretory system, the endocrine system, the digestive system, the nervous system, the sensory organs and sexual reproduction. Students get to know principles of the first aid, illness prevention and well -being and basics of the ontogenetic development with its age physical specialities.
Knowledge of essentials of human biology and first aid provides a theoretical background of professional qualification for educational process. Knowledge of human biology with consideration of health prevention is meaningful for school practice in general.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Student performance assessment

Knowledge of functional anatomy and physiology of selected organ systems, ontogeny (school age particularly), hygiene. Theoretical knowledge of health prevention and first aid.
