Course content
1) Essentials of descriptive analysis (average, standard error, variance, ...) 2) T-tests, chi square test, nonparametric tests 3) ANOVA 4) Summary of basic statistical methods 5) Principles of regression an correlation 6) Multivariate methods of data analysis - software CANOCO 7) Individual projects

Learning outcomes
The aim is to provide students with basic knowledge regarding a range of adequate evaluation methods of quantitative data obtained during pedagogical research. Students will also learn how to utilize these methods with the use of software such as Excel and STATISTICA, and other available PC software (e.g. R, CANOCO, GraphPad etc.). Content of this course is variable and depends on data specificity of students´ projects. Object matter includes following topics: Experimental and random hypothesis, random sample, random variables and their parameters, pseudo-replication, interval estimations, parametric and non-parametric tests´, linear regression, correlation, multivariate methods.
