Course content
This course is arranged and organized as one week lasting field meeting. 1. Animals of fishpond and small running waters. 2. Planktonic animals 3. Soil animals 4. Animals of forests. 5. Animals of meadows. 6. Animals of wetlands 7. Identification of birds and amphibians by their voices. 8. Identification of small mammals by their external characters and by characters of skeleton. 9. Presentations of student project results.

Learning outcomes
Creating of student ability to determine and differentiate animals in their natural environment (biotopes) and skills of field investigations in zoology. To present roles of selected animals in cenoses.
Knowledge and skills in the area of animal determination and differentiation necessary for sciences education at secondary school.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Interview, Systematic student observation

To know a quota of demonstrated and found animals and their role in cenoses. To be able to use basic methods of zoological investigation in the field. To prepare final presentation.
