Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to provide fundamental knowledge of general didactic of chemistry. Emphasis is placed on connecting common pedagogic theories with the practical teaching of chemistry courses.
Graduates are able to make sense of basic methods of effective chemistry education, as well as their critical evaluation.

Prerequisites
|
Introductory courses in psychology and pedagogics completed in Bachelor´s degree. Secondary school chemistry.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Student performance assessment
Commanding of the basics of selected parts of general didactic of chemistry with respect to the necessary understanding of general didactic. All materials related to the lessons of science didactics (e.g. seminar theses and essays, projects, literature reviews etc.) are summed at the preservice teacher's portfolio which reflects professional skills and experience.
