  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for classes - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide fundamental knowledge and theoretical principles of chemistry. The elementary lectures are focused on themes such as atoms and molecules; types of emission; chemical valence change and reactions; general rules of chemical reactions and factors influencing these reactions from kinetic and thermodynamic aspects; energetic and chemical balance. Moreover, the lectures on the characteristic of solutions, acid-basic reactions and the basics of electrochemistry are also included.
Students gain knowledge of structure and properties of matters and chemical reactions. Their knowledge will use in the future study of other chemical disciplines.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of physics and mathematics.
