Learning activities and teaching methods |
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies)
|
Learning outcomes |
The course is aimed to provide theoretical fundamentals of organic chemistry, to explain basic principles of nomenclature of organic compounds, and to cover main classes of organic compounds with the emphasis on their physical, biological and chemical properties.
After successful passing the course, students are expected to be familiar with main classes of organic compounds, their nomenclature and physical, biological and chemical properties. The acquired knowledge may be used in other chemistry disciplines and related fields (both in the education system and research/commercial laboratories). |
