Learning outcomes
|
Given that the subject is included in the first year of study, its teaching is conceived inductively in the See-Judge-Act method of practical theology. The lecture will, therefore, reflect on the pastoral situation in the Czech Republic and the self-reflection of the students' experiences, progressing from concrete experiences and easy-to-understand facts to abstract theories. The theoretical framework of the subject will be the pastoral mission of the Church in the world, as formulated in the Pastoral Constitution on the Church in the Modern World Gaudium et Spes of the 2nd Vatican Council. In this sense, it will understand pastoral-theological epistemology as a tool for knowing and understanding the problems of today's world. It is directed toward the practice of so-called mystagogic pastoral ministry, which works with the life experience of Christians and non-Christians, as described primarily by Paul M. Zulehner. Due to the nature of the individual topics in the course structure, ecumenical connections and differences are also considered.
Students will receive a pastoral ability to think, formulate a pastoral question, find an interdisciplinary context and interpret various pastoral approaches.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral examination, Essay, Test
Test: The knowledge of the lectures' content will be verified in an online test in the Moodle system. Oral exam: Verify knowledge and reflection of the literature assigned for self-study, i.e. the so-called primary literature listed in the Moodle system and from each range of optional literature listed in Moodle, one of your choice. The student must present his understanding and view of the studied texts: He will always present their intention, structure, conclusions, significance for pastoral care and his evaluation - what inspired him, what he did not understand, and with what he disagrees.
