Themes and texts are chosen with regard to study orientation and interests of students, possible items: - Situation of morality in the European society, - "Culture wars" in Europe, - Theological-ethical questions of human rights, - Freedom of speech (language as a cornerstone of the civilization, deformation of language, truthfulness), political correctness), - Ethics and mass media, - The Internet ethics (netiquette), - Ethics of advertising, - Ethical questions of homosexuality, - Theological-ethical context of ecoethics, - Ethical questions in the area of GMOs, - Ethical questions of the death penalty, - Ethical questions of peace and war

Learning outcomes
|
The seminar is thematically connected with the lectures from the area of theological ethics. It is based on the work with the concrete texts from the area of ethics - the students will extend and deepen their reflection of the themes of the ethical area with the aid of short reports and subsequent organized discussions.
Based on the work with the concrete expert texts the student deeper reflects some special ethical questions and challenges.

PS: Attendance at the seminar 80 percent, active participation, presentation of the thematic report cca 20-30 minutes KS: High quality seminar work - extension cca 10 pages, with agreed topic from the area in advance - offered by the teacher or in accordance with studets´ suggestion, but consulted at the beginning of the semestr, continuous consultation of the work during the semestr
