Course content

1) Basic questions (anthropological assumptions, unconditional validity of ethical requirements...), 2) Freedom, responsibility (concept of freedom, human dignity...), 3) Culture and cultures, human rights (art as a cultural being, "world ethos"...), 4) Values, norms, 5-6) Old Testament orientation of action, 7-8) New Testament orientation of action. 9)Basic attitudes, virtues, 10) Conscience, 11) Norms, 12) Guilt and sin, penance, conversion.

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of this course is to introduce the student to the basic ethical themes of theological ethics: anthropological postulates - human specifics, cognition, creativity orientation of life, freedom, responsibility, duty, society and history; characteristics of theological ethics - argumentation, approaches, specifics; Biblical principles of human dignified life (hermeneutics); values, norms; basic attitudes, virtues, norms, conscience, guilt and sin, conversion.
The student orientates himself in the fundamental-ethical questions of christian ethics.

Prerequisites
|
The initial teaching method is the explanation of the material. With regard to the nature of the subject, attention is focused primarily on the connection between ethics and practice. For this reason, dialogue with students is encouraged on selected questions and their connections, which aim to support critical thinking in students. They are also required to work with professional texts and multimedia resources (texts, the Internet, IT technologies).
