Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce selected concepts, stages, techniques and approaches in individual social work, including the practice of practical skills of working with clients. The seminars also work with students' experiences from professional practice. Students will consolidate their knowledge of case-based social work in the course. At the same time, the student will try to apply the theoretical knowledge in concrete case situations. Students will acquire or consolidate the following professional knowledge and skills in the course: - establishing a relationship with a client - first contact - communication with the client - individual social work phase.
The student will understand the development of individual social work. The student can approach a client, establish contact with him/her and arrange a personal contract.

Prerequisites
|
Before entering the course, the student should be able to take the course Theoretical Foundations of Social Work (KCHP/KTVSP) and be able to define the field of social work, its objectives and basic concepts of social work.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Interview, Seminar work
- attendance at lessons - permitted absences 2 - study of the required literature - development of a specific individual plan (hereinafter referred to as IP) with the client (the topic is chosen by the student) - the student brings this IP for credit - the lecturer may assign small assignments related to the topics covered in the lecture (these are an additional condition for a possible examination) - passing the credit by oral examination. - for foreign students, an individual education plan is prepared for the beginning of the semester together with the teacher and the student.
