Lectures: 1 - principle and role of enterprises in an economy, enterprises aims, classification of enterprises; 2 - enterprise floatation, activities incidental to enterprise floatation; 3 - business initial budget; 4 - enterprises assets, structure, evaluation of assets; 5 - fixed assets depreciation; 6 - capital structure of enterprise, optimization; 7 - revenues, costs and profit, cost calculation; 8 - break even point analysis, cash flow; 9 - prices, base-point pricing, pricing methods; 10 - supply process, material balance, calculation of material consumption, supply standards fixing; 11 - productive activity of enterprise, production function - teoretic principle of production economy, capacity of production; 12 - investment activity of enterprise, procedure and methods of investment efficiency evaluation; 13 - evaluation of business performance; 14 - crisis development of enterprise, turnaround and extinction of a enterprise.

Learning outcomes
|
Objective of the course is to explain factors and conditions, economic relations and effects during company building - up. Further to explain company behaviour with repeating activities, and also at possible company end. Principle and role of enterprises in an economy, enterprises aims, classification of enterprises. Enterprise floatation, activities incidental to enterprise floatation, business initial budget. Development of assets and capital in an enterprise. Revenues, costs and profit, break even point analysis, cash flow. Prices, base-point pricing, pricing methods. Supply process, material balance, calculation of material consumption, supply standards fixing. Productive activity of enterprise, production function - teoretic principle of production economy, capacity of production. Investment activity of enterprise, procedure and methods of investment efficiency evaluation. Evaluation of business performance. Crisis development of enterprise, turnaround and extinction of a enterprise.
Students understand to basic economic relations and appearance in period of company build - up, at his activities and also at possible company end. Students are able to make a decision in particular conditions and situations.

There are no a prerequisites courses for the course of Business Economics.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Combined exam
Credit Requirements: - work out three individual tasks. Examination Requirements: - examination is combined, written and oral part; - - oral part composes from 2 questions from course theory. Total mark is given on the basis of results from written part and knowledge at oral examination part.
