Course content
Lectures: 1 -Classification of economic analysis, statistical indicators 2 - Factual, spatial and time comparison. Index numbers 3 - Descriptive index, its construct and classification 4 - Index of variable composition and its usage for analysis 5 - Aggregate index in avarage form, in agregate form 6 - Analytical index 7 - Logarithmic method, method of successive change, method with residue 8 - System of economic indices 9 - Intercompany comparison 10 - System of indices in firm´s practice (parallel system of indices, site index, pyramidal system of indices, spider analysis) 11 - Economic value added 12 - Evaluation of effect of assets 13 - Labour productivity, Total factor productivity 14 - Production analysis. Break - even point. Seminars: 1 - Statistical unit, statistical indicators and their classification 2 - Chain index, basic index, growth rate and average growth rate 3 - Individual index simple and composite 4 - Index of variable composition, index of fixed composition, index of structure 5 - Agregate price index and Agregate volume index (Laspeyres formula, Pashe formula) 6 - Logarithmic method 7 - Method of successive change 8 - Intercompany comparison 9 - System of enterprise indices 10 - pyramidal analysis of indices 11 - Economic value added 12 - Evaluation of effect of assets, Productivity 13 - Break - even point

Learning outcomes
Objective of subject is to explain to students the methods of economic analysis of enterprise, to evaluate economic indicators. It presents a system of indices. Part of course is also explanation some statistical methods of data analyses in economic field including their evaluation and explication relationship between particular kinds of statistical indicators.
Student understands a system of enterprise indicators and manages basic procedures and methods applicable at their evaluation.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisite course for the course ECONOMIC ANALYSIS (EA).

Combined exam

Credit Requirements: Examination Requirements:The examination is composite (written test and verbal examination). Written test contains test questions and short calculations. Verbal examination composes of two questions.
