Course content
Lecture topics: 1. Definition of geography of tourism, its place in the system of geographic sciences. Structure. 2. Object and subject of geography of tourism, development and research. 3. Space in tourism. Destinations, regions, resorts, areas, spatial distribution. Localizing, selective and implementation factors. The potential of tourism. 4. Tourism activities in the area. Tourism objects for activities in the area. 5. Natural, cultural, historical, technical and social attractivites of destinations. 6. Infrastructure and services of CR and their implementation in destinations. 7. Tourist Macroregions of the World. 8. Tourism of continents. 9. Tourism macro-regions in Europe 1. 10. Tourism macro-regions in Europe 2. 11. Tourism Geography of the Czech Republic. 12. Tourist marketing regions and regions of the Czech Republic. The exercises are thematically linked to lecture topics.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to get the students acquainted with the complexity of the spatial structures of tourism destinations. This course is aimed around three items - the theories of the spatial structures of tourism destinations; the vertical structure of the destination; the origins, state of being, and importance of tourism preconditions and attractions.
Students are able to describe the structure of a tourism system, to analyze segments of a tourism destination, and to adopt these concepts in a real destination.

Written examination, Combined exam, Test, Seminar work

Credit: processing of credits exercises in the Moodle e-learning system (at least 60% of the course assignments given in the course - correctly and in the required quality - it is necessary to submit the solution for all assigned tasks) Exam: exam written and oral, minimum for successful completion of written test (test): 60% of the correct answers.
