Course content
Lectures: 1. Introduction to spatial data analysis. 2. Raster data interpolation. Map algebra. 3. Digital Terrain Model. Introduction to Model Builder. 4. Topographic Surface Analysis. 5. Distance Analysis. Hydrological modelling. 6. 3D Analysis in GIS. 7. Network Analysis. 8. Geostatistical Modelling 1. 9. Geostatistical Modelling 2. 10. Spatial Regression Models. 11. Geographically Weighted Regression. 12. Temporal analysis of the movement and changes of objects. Seminars: thematically correspond to lectures - exercises in ArcGIS 10.5 and its extension, GeoDA, ArcGIS Pro.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration, E-learning, Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies), Project-based learning

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to deepen the knowledge gained in the subject GIS1 especially on advanced spatial analysis.
Student masters usually used and also advanced types of spatial analysis in GIS environment and their specifics. Student is capable to process complex project of GIS independently.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Combined exam, Test, Seminar work

Credit: processing of credits exercises in the Moodle e-learning system (at least 60% of the course assignments given in the course - correctly and in the required quality - it is necessary to submit the solution for all assigned tasks) Exam: exam written and oral, minimum for successful completion of written test (test): 60% of the correct answers.
