Learning outcomes
|
The objective of the course is to provide a complex theoretical basis for applied economics disciplines and to deepen and expand students´ knowledge acquired in macroeconomics and microeconomics. The first part of the course is aimed at the field of microeconomics. The second part is focused on deepening knowledge of basic macroeconomics.
Students understand the basic principles of microeconomics theory. Students know economic principles explaining the consumer behavior, company activities and theoretic basis, which will be used in other courses.

There is no prerequisite for the course of Microeconomics (MAE).

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Combined exam
Credit Requirements: Elaboration of seminar paper work on given topic. Written test mainly for economics mathematical problems (to gain minimum 60% of total number of points). Time for test is 40 minutes. Credits will be awarded not earlier than 14 days before the end of the semester in accordance with the measure of Dean No. 124/2017 Article 15. Examination Requirements: Written test and oral part of exam. Final mark is based on the results of the credit tests and the discussion. Test contain mainly theoretical questions, two graphs and short economics mathematical problem. Students must reach minimum 16 points of total 32 points to pass test and continue to oral part of exam. Time for test is 30 minutes. The examinations will be written 3 weeks before the beginning of the examination period in accordance with the measure of Dean No. 124/2017 Article 15.
