Course content
Theistic existentialism From phenomenology to existentialism Existentialism - atheistic, humanistic, titan (Sartre, Camus) Existentialism and marxism (Lukács, Machovec, Sartre, Zb. Fišer) Is Christian existentialism possible? Precusors - Pascal, Kierkegaard, Bergson versus Nietzsche Berdjajev Karl Jaspers Gabriel Marcel - essentialistic existentialism

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book)
Learning outcomes
To present existencialism in philosophy, with special consideration to ateism and Christianity/judaism.
Ability to identify and analyse existentialist accents in philosophical texts.
Prerequisites
Absolved the seminar KFI/PKP - Representants of the christian personalism To understand German, French or English texts.

Assessment methods and criteria
Colloquium

Active participation in seminars including giving a paper on chosen topic from existentialism.
