- Is the human culture effective means of adaptation? - Why is the human culture sometimes so resistant toward change? - Do various cultures differ in their way of thinking and principles of logic and symbology? - To what extent and why can individuals of the same culture differ?

The student is introduced to cultural anthropology by examining some of the fundamental ideas, issues and questions o the discipline. The aim is to arouse interest in thes questions and o engage the student´s ability to solve basic human questions in a broader crosscultural way.
Students learn to contemplate some basic anthropological questions from many angles and facets, try to find an answers and at the same time accept an alternative explanations and interpretations. |
