Course content
1. Definition of the content of the subject, definition, passive dipoles, ideal sources, application of methods for solving electrical circuits. 2. Passive elements R, L, C, in harmonic excitation. 3. RC, RLC circuits. Transients. 4. Semiconductor components, functions, parameters, applications of diodes, thyristors, triacs. 5. Bipolar transistors, electric field controlled transistors, properties, distribution, parameters, applications 6. Fundamentals of semiconductor technology - physical electronics of semiconductors, technology of production of semiconductor materials and selected components, the origin of contact of two materials with rectifying properties. 7. Semiconductor components, principle of their function, parameters, applications - diodes, thyristors, triacs. 8. Bipolar transistors, electric field controlled transistors, principle of function, properties, distribution, parameters, applications. 9. Basic connection of amplifier stages with transistors SE, SC, SB. 10. Basic connection of amplifier stages with transistors, transistor stage as double gate. Selected circuits with transistors - stabilizers, oscillating circuits. 11. Operational amplifiers, ideal operational amplifier, errors and parameters of real operational amplifiers. 12. Basic linear connection with operational amplifiers. Application. 13. Digital - analog converters - principles, functions, parameters, errors. 14. Analog - digital converters - principles, functions, parameters, errors.

Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the solution of electrical circuits and networks of direct and alternating current. The student will get acquainted with theoretical knowledge in connection with elementary dipoles, linear double gates, RLC circuits, semiconductor components, digital circuits, operational amplifiers and A/D and D/A converters. The student applies the acquired theoretical knowledge during exercises in solving practical problems.
The student will gain the knowledge needed to independently solve simple electrical circuits and understand the functionality of advanced electronic circuits. The student is able to practically apply the acquired knowledge.
The student understands the basic concepts of high school physics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

The student demonstrates the acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to solving problems in the exam.
