Course content
1. Introduction to the subject, credit requirements, examination requirements 2. Basic notions - ergonomics, functionality, aesthetics of design etc. 3. The layout of exteriors - examples 4. The layout of interiors - examples 5. Older and contemporary trends 6. Technical products and requirements placed on them 7. Design and occupational safety 8. Design in transport and design of vehicles 9. Examples of design of practical solutions 10. New trends- advertising and antidesign 11. Functionality, aesthetics, originality, creativity - examples from practice 12. Information sources - Design portal, Magazine about design and graphics and so on 13. Advertising, social advertising, other trends 14. Repetition and final test

Learning outcomes
The course gives an overview of basic concepts of design and construction. It deals with concepts of aesthetics, kitsch, ergonomics, construction functionality, spatial layout, safety of proposals, fashion, new trends and so on.
Knowledge and definition of basic concepts, ability to perform an analysis of evaluation criteria of proposals, ability to determine requirements for the product design.

Combined exam

Attendance at seminars 80%, successful management of the final test
