Course content
1. Inventions, discoveries and society development. 2. An overview of significant inventions and their destiny. 3. The first and second industrial revolution. 4. Technical branches in 19th century. 5.-14. History of metallurgy, steam energy, hydraulic machines, textile production, combustion engines, transport, machinery, electricity and magnetism.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
General problems of history of physics. Physics in the period of Renaissance. Geocentric system. Basic phenomena of classical physics. Peak of classical physics. Classical science about heat, light, magnetism and friction electricity and electric current. Science development in the area of knowledge of electromagnetic field. Quantum and statistics physicis. Theory of relativity. During the study, the student conducts a portfolio of his / her didactical materials (presentations, papers, projects, thought maps, preparations for teaching, photo and video documentation of experiments, video sequences from teaching lessons, aids and experiments database, overview of visits during his / her teaching and pedagogical outcomes at school, overview of all promotional events popularizing the disciplines). This portfolio will be used during didactic analysis during the final state exam.
Orientation in historic development of key disciplines of technics, students understand the relationship technics-society.
