Course content
1. Organization of seminar activities, assigning presentations, credit requirements. Methodology of solving physical problems for secondary schools. Working with gifted physics students. 2. Analysis of physics teaching matter at secondary grammar schools, theoretical review, elementary phenomena. We emphasise solving typical physical problems set for selfstuying. 3. Phenomena analysis - structural graph (comparison phenomena with elementary school physics teaching). Physics topics to be discussed in particular seminars: 4. Mechanical movement - kinematics 5. Elementary dynamics 6. Energy 7. Mechanics of solid bodies, fluids and gases mechanics 8. Gravitational field 9. Mechanics waves and oscillations 10. Electrical current laws 11. Electromagnetic field 12. Alternating currents 13. Light and radiation 14. Final lesson - handing in and evaluating of seminar essays

Learning outcomes
Strategy of solving more complicated physics problems (phenomena alalysis, graphs, basic phenomena, experiments). Mechanical movement - kinematics, dynamics, energy, mechanics of solid bodies, mechanics of fluids and gases, gravitational field, mechanic oscillations and waves, electric current laws, electromagnetic field, alternating currents, light and electromagnetic radiation, atomic physics.
Methodology of analysing exercises in Physics. Organizing and teaching gifted students.
Prerequisites
Basic terminology and rules of teaching Physics, comparison of different teaching systems, documenting.

Student performance assessment

Students are familiar with analysis of exercises in Physics at secondary school, with teaching gifted students, with strategy of solution of different types of exercises, analysis of terminology of thematic units.
