Course content

Learning outcomes
Students will gain elementary knowledge in the are of atomic physics. They will be prepared to solve both theoretical and practical problems in the field of atomic physics. Physics at the turn of centuries. Experiments confirming the aatom structure. Basic phenomena of quantum mechanics, quantum mechanical description.
Students acquire basic knowledge of atomic physics and learn to apply it in particular problem solving.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of basics of physics 1-3 and mathematics for physicists.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

An active knowledge of the subject matter as presented by the teaching plan of the course.
