Elastic solid bodies. 9. Mechanics of fluids. 10. Kinetic theory of matter. 11. Internal energy, heat, temperature. 12. Matter structure and its properties. 13. Phases of matter. 14. Heat engines.

Learning outcomes

The subject enlarges elementary knowledge in the area of mechanics and molecular physics, derivating of mathematical formulas and laws of an introduced area. Solving of more complicated of physics problem examples and physics applications.
Physical explication of basic terminology, quantities, laws and phenomena including mathematical expression and physical interpretation. Comprehension and explication of experiments.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of mechanics and molecular physics and thermics at the level of secondary school.

Assessment methods and criteria

Didactic test
Active participation, min. 50% success in test.
