Course content
1. Introduction, principals of correct measuring 2. Gauge blocks, calibration and maintaining of equipment 3. Shift gauge checking 4. Measuring of mass 5. Checking micrometer calliper 6. Measuring by pasameter 7. Measuring of coating thickness 8. Measuring of teeth wheels via teeth 9. Measuring by profile projector 10. Optimeter measurements - Zeiss O,2 micro 11. Measuring of inclination using sine ruler 12. Measuring of angels (geometry of cutting edge) 13. Diagnosing of metal material structure using metallographic microscope 14. Determination of roughness using Comparex microscope 1. Introduction, principals of correct measurement. 2. Properties of metal materials. Mechanical and technological properties of metals. 3. Types of mechanical tests and their specification. Testing machines construction. 4. Work safety, getting to know with work place and device operating. 5. Ways of data recording, their processing, evaluating and presentation. 6. Static pull test. 7. Static pressure test. 8. Static bend test. 9. Hardness test using Poldi hammer. 10. Measuring of hardness by HPO 10 hardness meter. 11. Measuring of notch toughness. 12. Measuring of fatigue of metal materials. 13. Diagnosing metal material structure using emission spectroscopy. 14. Maintaining and calibration of devices.

Learning outcomes
Laboratory works dealing with technical non-destructive tests, lengh measurements, passmeter measurement, cover thickness measurement, inclination measurement, profileprojectometer measurement, Zeiss optometer measurement, rougness surface measurement using Comparex microscope. Laboratory works dealing with technical measurement - destructive tests of materials. Pulling, pressure, bending static tests, hardness measurements using HPO 10 device, toughness measurements.
Students manage methodology of correct measurement and are capable of carrying out basic destructive and non-destructive tests of metallic materials.
