Course content
1. Introduction, elementary theory of technology of metal processing 2. Protection and work safety in workshops 3. Elementary theory of machining 4. Geometry of cutting tools 5. Material and construction of cutting tools 6. Using, maintaining and sharpening of tools 7. Tools, jigs, their application and maintaining 8. Measuring and check of tools wearing off. Techniques of sharpening. 9. Practical activities to practise sharpening and workshop measurements 10. Types of welding and work safety in welding 11. Preparation of weldments, choosing of welding method, straightening and cutting of material using flame 12. Flame welding 13. Electric arc welding, resistance welding - points , seams 14. Welding in protective atmosphere, MIG, MAG, WIG methods

Learning activities and teaching methods
Skills training, Work activities (workshops)
Learning outcomes
Geometry, material, constructions, using and mending tools. Tools, substances, their usage and mending. Tools worning out checks and measurements. Ways of sharpening. Practical sharpening practice, measuring and gas welding, electrical welding, MIG, MAG, WIG.
Students learn to sharpen tools, to manage techics of welding and learn simple technics of welding.

Completion of KODO (KOD)

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's work activities (technical works)

Active participation, handing in products in required quality.
