Learning outcomes
Acquisition of information about physical- and human-geographical features of the South Bohemian region especially focused on typical phenomena of that area. Students will use skills gained during previous lessons from physical- and human geography of the Czech Republic. Physical geography of South Bohemia - physical-geographical position within the Czech Republic and Europe, geological development and structure, mineral resources, relief, climate, hydrology (the South Bohemian pounds and reservoirs), pedosphere, biosphere, natural landscape areas (national park and protected landscape areas in the South Bohemia). Human geography of South Bohemia - social-geographical position, population, migration, peculiarities of the South Bohemian settlements, settlement system, state administrations, local government, agriculture, industry, transport, services, tourism, regional development and future perspectives of the region, social-geographical regionalization and typology of the South Bohemian area.
Student competences after graduation of the subject result especially from the aims of the subject (see.) and the content of the subject (see.).

Oral examination, Written examination

Students works up the seminar work on a given subject (part A - Human Geography, part B - Physical Geography) ) - performance impositions engaged in exercising - (MS Office, ArcExplorer, ArcMap) and partial work on exercise in programme ArcView
