1. Development of modern geographical thought - development of modern geography, geographical paradigms and its changes 2. Regional geography - definition, core concepts 3. Human geographical research in regions - preparing and organization of research, data sources 4. Historic-geographical methods - land-use dynamics, settlement structure development methods 5. Geographical analysis of labour market methods 6. Data analysis methods in agricultural geography 7. Evaluating methods of concentration, distribution and size hierarchy for industrial geography 8. Spatial analysis of public transport quality methods 9. Spatial interactions theory - application of gravity model in geographical research 10. Methods of social-geographical regionalization I. (Cluster analysis, cartographical methods) 11. Methods of social-geographical regionalization II. (spatial mobility based regionalization) 12. Qualitative methods in geography I. (interview and public inquiry) 13. Qualitative methods in geography II. (driven interview, reflexive research) 14. SWOT analysis for regional development

Learning outcomes
The goal of this subject is to provide students with the development of modern geographical thought and with basic methods commonly used in regional geographical research. There will be emphasis basic methods traditionally used in human geography. The students will be acquainted with the preparing and organization of regional geographical researches and with spatial data resources. The students will be qualified to own geographical research creation useful for their bachelor/master thesis after absolving this subject.
Student competences after graduation of the subject result especially from the aims of the subject and the content of the subject.
