Course content
1. Planetary geography and basic knowledge about The Earth 2. Earth in terms of solar systém 3. Universe, galaxy, constellation, sorts cosmic body 4. Spherical calculations 5. Learning outcomes
Objective of this learning subject is to acquire basic knowledge about the Universe, movements of space orbs, geographical coordinates, and geo-physical features of the Earth so, that such skills could be consequently used during teaching at basic schools and in the learning subjects "Cartography", "Geographical Information Systems and Remote Sensing". Main solving themes - the Earth as a part of our Solar system, the Universe, the Galaxy, constellations, planets, moons, spherical calculations, astronomical coordinates, distances in the Space, movements of the Earth and space orbs and effects of these movements, seasons, the Moon, the Earth, tidal forces and phenomena, time, time zones, geophysical view to the Earth.
Student competences after graduation of the subject result especially from the aims of the subject and the content of the subject.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Students have to make good tutorial tasks: night-sky observation, creation of a teaching aid (education tool) or model for teaching Geography.
