Course content
Genetic methods suitable for gene characterization, their identification and procedures needed to evaluate the organization of genome mapping. Creation of genetic maps. Molecular - genetic markers. MAS, QTL and ETL. Comparative mapping. Utilization of individual markers for breeding needs

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide information about genetic methods of gene identification, organization of genome mapping and possible interventions in the genome of individuals. To learn methodical procedures and principles of work in genetic technologies.
The student can independently navigate in the given issue and is able to use the acquired knowledge in their scientific activities or other practice.
Prerequisites
The student is familiar with the issues within the scope of university studies and is willing to study independently.

Oral examination
