Course content
The students complete 4 weeks of contractual practice focused on laboratory, molecular, microbiological, and biotechnological methods in institutions and companies focused on food, medical and veterinary. The main content is independent laboratory and professional activities under professional guidance, getting acquainted with the organization of the company, its structure, technological and technical equipment. At the end of the course, the student writes his own evaluation, including a summary of acquired experience and skills, the evaluation of the student by the employer is also a part of it and this evaluation of the course is the basis for granting credit.

Learning outcomes
Students of the field of Agricultural Biotechnology during their bachelor's studies must complete compulsory professional practice. Within this course, they should get acquainted with work in a molecular, biotechnological, or otherwise focused laboratory or in a workplace where biotechnological procedures are performed (breeding stations, etc.).
The student will get acquainted with basic laboratory methods and methods in the field of molecular biology and biotechnology or breeding. They will gain practical experience and get acquainted with the organization of work in the laboratory.
Prerequisites
Students can complete the course in the KGZB laboratory. It is possible to perform the course in the laboratory of the student's choice, but it is necessary to have an approved scope of work approved in advance by the course guarantor before starting the internship. In such a case, it is necessary to conclude a contract between the Faculty and the foreign laboratory and, after completing the internship, to provide the guarantor with a confirmation from the student's employer with the content of the internship.
