Course content
Special genetics of farm animal - cattle, pigs, sheep, horses, poultry and small farm animals. Analysis heredity and variability in each species of farm animals. Genetics of health and resistance. Health state and hereditary diseaeses incidence in farm animal population.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing)

Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is to extend basic knowledge obtained by previous study of genetic disciplines by each species of farm animals and their effeciency property.
The student will be able to apply the acquired knowledge for the optimization of breeding procedures.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Prerequisite of routine work with information technologies and with database systems for solving tasks related to the study of inheritance of main production characters in basic livestock species.
