Course content
1. - 2. Brief history of computer origin, types of computers - digital, analog and hybrid, signal carriers 3. Semiconductor elements, unipolar and bipolar transistor, flip-flops 4. Combinational and sequential automata, analysis and synthesis 5. - 6. HW realization of numbers using logic circuits. 7. Controller, sliding, balancing registers 8. Memory, types of memories, addressing 9. Computer architecture of von Neumann and Harvard type 10. Arithmetic - logic unit, adder, processor, microprocessor architecture, operational memory 11. Buses and channels, standard computer interfaces 12. - 13. Recording media, computer input and output units, peripherals

Learning outcomes
Students will obtain basic knowledge in the field of design, construction and operation of computers. Teaching is based on basic theoretical and physical-technical assumptions of computer design. The use of knowledge also extends to hobby groups and extracurricular activities.
