Course content
- introduction into Lego Mindstorms environment, creation of first robot - programming in Lego Mindstorms environment - programming technics: motion of robot, processing inputs from sensors, reaction to different inputs - programmings technics: work with variables, parallel processes - interdisciplinare projects - design, construction and programming of own robotic model - robotics in education, examples of school activities with Lego Mindstorms

Learning outcomes
Students will familiarize with robotic toys LEGO Mindstorms as educational tools. They will solve projects requiring sophisticated construction and programming using NXT brick. A discussion of possible application in education is a part of the curricula. Students will design projects for interdisciplinar activities.
Student is able to create and program a robot using robotical construction set; is able to work project way in a team; is able to create concrete setings of own project according to generally posed settings; understands the problematics of using robotic toys into education from pedagogical point of view

creative work in a team, creation of a project: - a computer-controlled robot, - inclusive project documentation (methodical instruction, photo and video documentation)
