Course content
History of meteorology, meteorological service in our country. Atmosphere, layers of the atmosphere, structure, adulterants and pollution. Sunshine, basic codes, sunshine in the atmosphere, spectral constitution. Radiation characteristics, lighting, long wave radiation, radiation balance of earth, absorption of the radiation. Air temperature, temperature characteristic, temperature layers in the atmosphere, adiabatic and pseudoadiaabatic circulation. Air moisture, basic characteristics, contents of water vapour and air density. Condensation of water vapour, types of clouds, interception and structure of precipitation. Evaporation, basic characteristics, vapour from water, soil and plants. Air pressure, pressure gradients, weather and human medicine. Winds in the atmosphere, Coriolis force, general circulation, speed. Basic pressure types, cyclon and anticyclon types of weather. Synoptic meteorology. Climatology, Europe and Czech climate. Agroclimatic condition in the Czech Republic. Weather and plant diseases, pests and weeds. Dangerous atmospheric situations, mainly frost.

Learning outcomes
The aim of this subject is to make the students acquainted with notions and relations in the field of agrometeotology
The student is able to serve the meteorological station and evaluate the measured data. It is also able to analyze the weather forecast analysis. The student is able to prevent adverse meteorological influences on agricultural production.

Basic knowledges from grammar school - geography and physics

Oral examination, Interview, Systematic student observation
