Course content
1. Introduction to study, subject and methods of agricultural economics 2. The position of the agricultural sector in the national economy 3. The transformation process in the agricultural sector 4. Production factor land 5. Production factor of work 6. Production factor capital 7. Income disparity of agriculture 8. Categories of economic costs 9. Categories of economic results 10. Pricing of agricultural products 11. System of subsidies and supports for agriculture 12. Specifics of the EU agricultural sector 13. Foreign trade in agricultural products

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the subject is to understand the basic economic relations in agriculture and their use for the optimal combination of the production branches of the company.
Students gain knowledge of the general and specific characteristics of the agricultural sector and verify the ability of their interpretation in economic contexts. They acquire knowledge of the specificities of the factor market, especially with regard to the influence of soil as a basic factor of production (awards, principles and factors of price formation). They gain insight into the basic indicators of economic analyzes and learn to apply and interpret them on concrete examples.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of the subject Business Economics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Processing of seminar research on selected topic and its presentation.
