Course content
1. Introduction, explanation of term engineering and investment activities, basic terms 2. Building law and its Implementing Decree - History and Current Situation 3. Spatial planning - objectives, procedures and tools 4. Building regulations - freely constructed buildings, reporting of simple buildings, building management, changes before completion 5. Building regulations - use of buildings, approval, changes in use and removal of buildings 6. Design procedures, administrative procedures in general, administrative rules 7. Authorized inspector, investor, designer and building manager 8. Authorized engineer and technician in the construction process 9. Management, supervision under construction, building diary 10. Safety and health at work in construction 11. Performance phases, types and composition of project documentation 12. Reading drawings, working with project documentation 13. Creating an investment plan 14. Presentation of the investment plan

Learning outcomes
The aim of the teaching subject is to introduce methods in the process of constructing. These methods replenish the definition of engineering and investment procedures according to their meaning, form and content (in compliance with the building act). The EI is the practical exercising of theoretical and technical knowledge in compliance with the legislative frame of the administrative management. The attention is focused not only on the project documentation of buildings, but also on the process of their construction and their actuation, as well as on the conditions and methods of their liquidation.
Student will acquire complex knowledge from the design process to the approval with using the building. Student is able to create an investment plan.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of building materials and structures, knowledge of the basic terms used in the design of buildings and their realization, ability to work independently.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Written examination, Seminar work

Requirements for credit: attending exercises, creating and presentation of semestral work Requirements for exam: pass a written test (min. 50%)
