Course content
|
1. Basic concepts and principles of innovative business. 2. Basic documents of the Czech Republic and the EU for innovative entrepreneurship. 3. Innovative strategies, the role of innovation management strategies and their breakdown. 4. Innovation process, phase of innovation process, research and development, innovative marketing. 5. Organization of innovation function, in-house organizational structure, project management, innovation networks. 6. Innovative corporate culture, core elements of corporate culture, teamwork, communication and presentation skills, training of workforce for change. 7. Reasons for innovation, the main barrier to innovation. 8. Financing and indirect support for the innovation process, financing from corporate funds, public resources, commercial resources, non-financial support for the innovation process. 9. Intellectual and industrial property protection, scope of legal protection, basic legislative forms, intellectual property, agreements and treaties and their closure regime, the EU and the protection of intellectual property. 10. Efficiency of innovation, factors influencing the success of innovation, measurement of the success of innovation. 11. Creation of innovative projects. 12. Science and Technology Parks in the Czech Republic. 13. International Science and Technology Cooperation. 14. Clusters abroad and the Czech Republic.

Learning outcomes
|
The acquired knowledge will enable graduates to work in innovative enterprises, technology parks, consulting organizations and other bodies and institutions involved in innovation preparation and decision making, dealing with their implementation and evaluation. They should also be able to use their knowledge in areas such as strategy and business development, product management or brand management.
Develop and present a business plan with an emphasis on its innovations.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral examination, Test, Seminar work
Credit requirements: active participation in seminars (max. 2 absences), preparation and presentation of a business plan before the commission. Examination requirements: Written test (minimum: 75%).
